COST OF DENTAL IMPLANTS

What do dental implants cost?

The answer depends mostly on your needs. In almost any given week, Dr. Ressler sees at least 3 to 5 patients who are seeking a dental second opinion on dental work, crowns, cosmetic dentistry, gum treatment, or dental implants recommended by another dentist, periodontist, or other dental specialist.

Dental patients often leave a dental office with many unanswered questions and concerns after having received an estimate or dental treatment plan. In some cases, they feel they have only been given very limited choices for their dental care, told they need to have teeth removed, and were not given any options for saving teeth.

In other cases, the suggested dental treatment plan suggested was too expensive to be a practical choice, and other more realistic alternative dental options weren’t fully discussed.

Dr. Ressler strives to provide you with the best possible dental treatment by performing thorough examinations to help plan your care especially for you. He will take the time to talk with you, discuss your specific needs, and present all of your options (there are usually quite a few) so you can make an informed choice. It is therefore difficult, if not impossible, to fairly estimate the cost of dental implant treatment without first examining and evaluating you. The simplest dental implant cases, however, can be financed through a convenient payment plan starting at $62/month for qualified patients. Multiple implants and more complicated cases obviously cost more. You can read more about what goes into determining the cost of dental implants below.

CONSIDERATIONS:

  •  number of teeth to be replaced
  •  overall condition of your mouth
  •  presence of gum disease
  •  presence of dental infection
  •  presence of decay in other teeth
  •  strength of adjacent teeth
  •  amount and quality of bone at implant site
  •  your overall health
  •  other findings on dental x-rays

THESE FACTORS HELP DETERMINE:

  •  number of implants that will be needed
  •  type of teeth to be placed over the implants (porcelain, plastic, fixed, removable)
  •  whether dental extractions are needed
  •  whether bone grafting will be necessary
  •  whether gum disease treatment will be required before placing implants
  •  whether other diseased teeth need attention
  •  the amount of time needed to complete your treatment
